Winner of the Crossword Puzzle Contest
Last week the Prom 2021 Committee drew a winner from the countless entries received for the Crossword Puzzle Contest. The winner is Lisa Wilde from Q1!!! Congratulations! A big thank you goes out to the designers of the puzzle Sive Chambers (Q3) and Hanna Holmberg (Q3), as well as all the contestants! We, the Prom 2021 Committee, hope you enjoyed expressing your school spirit while filling out the crossword puzzle!

Crossword Puzzle Contest - Fundraising Event for Prom 2021
Would you like to challenge your knowledge on the NMS P30 campus, staff and traditions? Students of Lower and Upper Secondary are invited to take part in a crossword puzzle contest, where the contestants have a chance of winning the grand prize: a 20€ gift certificate for a store or online service of their choosing (i.e. Netflix or dm etc.)!
How does this contest work?
There are 2 crossword puzzles: one for the Lower Secondary (7th to 9th grade) and Upper Secondary (10th to 13th grade). To participate, a student buys a crossword puzzle for 2€ at the stand the Prom 2021 Committee will have set up in front of Thomas’s cafeteria on Monday (7.12.) and Tuesday (8.12.). The participants will have time until Friday (11.12.) to complete their crossword puzzle and submit their answers by throwing the finished puzzle into a box that will be hanging in front of the art rooms in the 1st floor of the new building. Just make sure you add your name and class on your puzzle! On Monday (14.12.), the names of five lucky students will be drawn at random to win the grand prize and four consolation prizes (i.e. a chocolate cookie from Thomas)! The winners will be notified by public announcement.

Fundraising Bake Sales for Prom 2021 was a screaming success!
In the past few weeks we, the Prom 2021 Committee, organized various bake sales: two bake sales with a Halloween theme (29.10. & 30.10.) and one last week Friday (20.11.).
A big thank you goes out to the graduating students who helped out by organizing, baking or selling, as well as to the entire NMS community for the generous contributions! We managed to raise about 400€!!!
Also, thank you Maya Levine (Abitur Q3) for designing the spooky poster advertising the Halloween bake sales!
Have a look out for our next fundraising event! We are organizing a crossword puzzle contest.
There will be two crossword puzzles, both NMS themed, however each its own level of difficulty. After the day of sale, the contestants will have 2 days to complete the crossword puzzle and submit their answers. After the submission, 10 contestants will be chosen at random and will each receive one out of a variety of prizes! (Further information will follow in the next few weeks.)

We hope you have settled into the new school year and are enjoying relaxing weekends in between the long school weeks!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there have been complications with the funding of the prom at the end of this school year. The fundraising usually is supported to a great extent by the participation in big events, such as parties, these of course were cancelled due to the pandemic. In order to still enjoy the final party of our high school lives, we have come up with new Corona friendly options to raise money. As the planning committee for the event, we and our entire year urgently seek your support!
You can help us by:
a) buying one or more ticket(s) for the event (If you are interested in buying a ticket, yet did not receive any information on the process, please contact us via email!).

c) taking part in bake sales (only during conferences), flea markets etc. that are organised by AbiQ3/4 and IB13!
The prom will take place on the 19th of June 2021 at the Metropol in Berlin-Schöneberg.
There will be a three course dinner (with drinks), festive speeches, socializing and dancing to celebrate the graduating year of 2021. The whole evening will be accompanied by a DJ and photographer to remember the unforgettable celebration. Parents, siblings, friends and teachers of the graduates are cordially invited!
If the prom should be cancelled due to the Coronavirus, all money will be refunded according to the contract. Since this only applies to the tickets purchased and not to money donated, we will pass on all collected donations directly to the school (Library, Thomas etc.), should the event not take place. This way the money will still serve a good cause.

Abschlussball 2021
Liebe NMS Eltern, Erziehungsberechtigte, Lehrer, Schüler und Friends,
Wir hoffen, Sie haben sich in das neue Schuljahr eingelebt und genießen entspannte Wochenenden zwischen den langen Schulwochen!
Aufgrund der Covid-19 Pandemie haben wir Probleme mit der Finanzierung des Abschlussballs des Abitur und IB Jahrgangs 2021. Die Events, die normalerweise zum Fundraising diesen, fallen dieses Jahr aus und wir müssen auf andere Methoden ausweichen um Geld zu sammeln. Als das Komitee, bitten wir, und der ganze Jahrgang, um Ihre Unterstützung!

Der Abschlussball findet am 19. Juni 2021 im Metropol in Berlin-Schöneberg statt. Es wird ein dreigängiges Abendessen (mit Getränken), feierliche Reden, geselliges Beisammensein und Tanzen geben, um das Abschlussjahr 2021 zu feiern. Der ganze Abend wird von einem DJ und einem Fotografen begleitet, um die unvergessliche Party festzuhalten. Eltern, Geschwister, Freunde und Lehrer der Abiturienten und IB Graduates sind herzlich eingeladen!
Sollte der Abschlussball aufgrund des Corona Viruses ausfallen, wird das gesamte Geld laut Vertrag rückerstattet. Da dies nur für die gekauften Tickets gilt und nicht für gespendetes Geld, werden wir alle gesammelten Spenden, sollte die Veranstaltung nicht stattfinden, direkt an die Schule weitergegeben (Library, Thomas etc.). So wird das Geld trotzdem einem guten Zweck dienen.
