NMS Pride day 2024

pd4 002

On July 2nd the NMS school celebrated its 3rd annual Pride Day.

It was another successful day that strengthened the NMS support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

While the day started with an assembly In the primary school, the secondary school kicked the day off with some music in the courtyard.

Then in the secondary, classes organised their own workshops or activities.

In the primary school there were activities set up in the foyer, conference room and Aula for the students to enjoy.

In the afternoon, despite the wet weather, the primary school walked over to the secondary campus for a whole school assembly. There were performances from the students, a presentation of a donation for a LGBTQIA+ support organisation called Queens Against Borders and speeches from representatives of the school community reaffirming their commitment to making NMS more inclusive. The day ended with everyone singing the school song together.

Many thanks to all the students, parents and staff members that helped out, however a special mention has to go out to Tanya Mokdad, Lex Kartanė, Felix Theuner, Benni Lorang, and Kai Linke for their efforts.
