On March 8 a small group of initiators, Meret Weber (10c), Clara Schneck (IB12), Fanny Tockner (Q2) and Florentine Baumann, met to discuss the chances of an application of our school to become a BERLINER KLIMA-SCHULE. The label certifies schools that offer several activities towards sustainability and an eco-friendly school atmosphere.
After designing a mindmap that shows the variety of sustainable projects and concepts that we already realize at school and a second one that names our visions for the near future, we decided to go for it, get some more people together to join our next meeting on April 6, 3.30pm, N1.3, and start with sending off an application for financial support to expand the idea of raised flowerbeds in upcycled optimist dinghies to crop vegetables and fruits for our cafeteria.
