Congratulations BIMP Musicians on the successful Gala Concert on Sunday 19th March 2017.
Thank you very much for everyone’s devoted participation in our music project!
Many people said that this was one of the best BIMP Gala Concert ever. This could only happen with the hard work, individual practice time, rehearsal attendance and good spirit of our young musicians. They all looked and sounded beautiful on stage for the happiness of the audience.
Big thanks goes to all parents, helpers, NMS support (especially Mr. Langlotz) again for making the time for the musicians to participate and to organize the difficult travels to the different rehearsal spaces.
This year there were nine international schools participating from around Berlin and Brandenburg and three guest schools from Hungary, Slovakia and England. The Gala Concert was hosted by the Berlin Brandenburg International School in Klein Machnow and attended by many proud parents, family, and friends.
The Junior Orchestra started the show with our own veteran violinist Elisabeth Wagner and a new violinist from our school, Elsa Gazzea. That was followed by the Junior Choir including NMS students Ivailo Denev, Leandra Ziche, and Oscar George Foerster. Next it was the Senior Orchestra playing The Blue Danube by Richard Strauss and selections from Indiana Jones with our seasoned musician and solist Fenya Artemisa Venzlaff Ruiz and her clarinet. The Senior Choir continued with 5 more songs accompanied by our veteran singers, Stephanie Wagner, Dayo Kramer, Greta Jäger, Maya Levine and Zoe Vogelsang. In the end, everyone came together to sing ‘We Are The Champions’ to finish off a absolutely wonderful evening. Here a quote from Elsa’s mother: “BIMP was really inspiring for her. She really enjoyed the whole experience and is decided that she’s doing it again next year. It was a really positive project.” (Mrs. Lawlor)
We hope that you enjoyed the project as much as we did and that we can welcome you back next year, mid March.
